My children are always raiding the refrigerator and cabinets for quick bites between meals. So to ensure I am providing them fresh, healthy, and delicious treats, I make the majority of our snacks from scratch! I like to create seasonal recipes, utilizing fresh fruit, vegetables, and of course fun themes that get the kids excited about snack time. Here are some of my favorite ideas:
Blender Sorbet With Frozen Berries
Take three cups of frozen berries (which we pick and freeze ourselves!) and add them to a blender along with a cup of chilled coconut milk or vanilla yogurt. Blend the mixture until there’s a consistent texture and then enjoy! Sometimes we also pour the mix into popsicle molds!
My 2-Minute Hummus
When summer play dates roll around its super important to have easy on-the-go snacks that pack and travel easily. One of my favorite snacks is hummus, it’s super simple and delicious. This 2-minute hummus recipe can easily be served with carrots and celery sticks, sliced cucumbers, or crackers.
Gluten-Free Goldfish Crackers
