Life is full of surprises, isn’t it? Some good, some bad, and some just absolutely amazing. Lucky for me, my latest surprise is an amazing one—actually, it’s one of the best surprises of my life! So without further ado, I’d like to officially announce to the world that we are expecting baby Douglass #3 in our household this May!

My kids were ecstatic when we shared the news with them. They were so excited that they immediately started throwing out creative name ideas for the baby. Connor, who recently turned three, is dead-set on one particular name—Spider Man. Needless to say, we are glad that Connor does not have the final say when it comes to naming the baby!

My husband, on the other hand, was definitely more shocked than excited at first. I am actually chuckling to myself as I remember his initial reaction. That morning, he had gone out to buy diapers for Connor and since we had started potty training him, he hoped that they would be the last package of diapers we would ever purchase. When he returned home and heard that I was expecting, his face turned completely pale and he had to take a seat. While I was shrieking and jumping up and down with excitement, he needed a minute to recover from the shocking news but quickly embraced the idea of becoming a family of five.

We simply announced the pregnancy to our family and circle of friends with phone calls and a Facebook post. I wanted to do something a bit more creative, so I put together a special announcement to share with all of you. Check it out!
