A Weekend of Fun at WOW Summit

News & Announcements, Parenting | November 9, 2015

WOW, what a weekend! Hundreds of moms and bloggers met in San Diego—some traveling more than 3,000 miles—for our annual WOW Summit at the Town and County Resort and Convention Center. We saw the excitement building even before the event officially began!

Friday, October 23

The event kicked off Friday afternoon with close to 100 mom bloggers in attendance. Bloggers were geared up to connect with each other to swap blogging tips, meet with brands, and, most importantly, build relationships with other like-minded bloggers. It was truly an amazing sight to see these mom bloggers, from all walks of life and different points of view, come together in one place!

Our bloggers were eager to learn from our expert workshop speakers—attendees were able to choose from one of four educational topics. One of our bloggers was especially impressed with the workshop titled “10 Ways to Keep Your Blog Content Fresh and Creative” led by Andrea Barbalich, Editorial Director of KIWI magazine.

Next, our bloggers moved into our first-ever, blogger/brand speed-networking event. Bloggers came prepared with their media kits and business cards ready to introduce themselves to brands. It was a fast-paced event, where bloggers had to move to a new table every few minutes to connect with another brand. The result was incredible! Both bloggers and brands raved about how many connections they made.

After an afternoon of learning and networking, bloggers ended the day with a late-night cocktail party sponsored by Veri soda. Attendees enjoyed lots of tasty foods along with delicious, specialty cocktails made with Veri soda.

Saturday, October 24

Saturday morning our doors opened for moms, their families, and mom bloggers returning for their second day. Attendees heard from several inspirational people, including Keynote Speaker Chef Ann Cooper. Chef Ann, an internationally recognized author, chef, educator, public speaker, and advocate of healthy food spoke about the importance of healthy school lunches and childhood nutrition.

Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in educational workshops led by some of our favorite brands such as Dr. Bronner’s, In the Raw, NOW foods, Nordic Naturals, Solgar, and Smart Flour Foods.

When moms weren’t attending sessions, the huge Exhibitor Hall was completely packed! Everyone had a great time discovering new products, talking to brand representatives, and sampling healthy products. Both kids and adults alike loved tasting delicious foods, from Smart Flour Foods gluten-free pizza to Little Duck Organics tiny yogurt!

As if all of the free products and samples weren’t enough, prizes were awarded throughout the day, and each attendee walked away with a huge goody bag that was almost too heavy to carry! But the true takeaway from the event (other than the free swag), was the fact that it’s so important for moms to come together in a community to support one another and to show the world that moms care about raising healthy and happy families.

Thank You!

We would like to thank everyone—the staff, organizers, and sponsors—who helped make this WOW Summit possible. But most importantly, our thanks and appreciation goes out to all our moms who, despite hectic schedules and crazy lives, made time to attend this year’s WOW Summit. You are amazing, loving, strong, happy, selfless, and grateful. It is YOU, moms, who inspire us!

Moms Meet created the WOW Summit to bring like-minded moms together to explore and discover healthy products and brands. For those of you who were unable to make it, we hope you join us next year—the event will be bigger and better than ever.
