Many of our moms recently participated in King Arthur Flour’s Bake for Good Program. Believing in the power of baked goods to do good, the Bake for Good Program is about bringing people together to bake and help community members in need. There are so many ways to Bake for Good, from creating a nutritious meal to fill undernourished bellies or selling cookies to support a cause near and dear. Baking for good can even be as simple as baking for your friends and neighbors, just to make them smile.
Here are a few photos of our Mom Ambassadors baking for good and giving back to their communities:
Kristin A.’s MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group at her church baked desserts for 150+ homeless at the Coalition for the Homeless, thanks to King Arthur Flour! Here she is baking King Arthur’s “Easiest Chocolate Chip Cookie” recipe with help from her daughter.
How cute are these little firemen? Natasha T.’s group baked goodies for their local firehouse and even got tour from the EMTs!
Laura C. taught her group how to make King Arthur’s No Knead Bread, and then they donated the extra loaves to local organizations of their choice.
Tina B.’s students made pretzels, dog treats, brownies, cookies, and bread to give back to their community. “I am so proud of these kids for giving up a whole Sunday to learn some baking techniques, cultural foods, and giving back to others. Thank you Moms Meet for the opportunity to share this with students, their families, and our community!”
