Take Us Back to WOW Summit 2016!

News & Announcements | October 25, 2016

We can’t stop thinking about how much fun we had at this year’s WOW Summit! The entire Moms Meet team worked tirelessly to bring our community of moms, bloggers, and better-for-you brands to a place where they could meet, mingle, and move this world forward. So on October 7-8, this group came from all over the country and convened at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center just outside Washington D.C. for two days of inspiration, education, and fun. The venue, with its open-air atrium and proximity to local family-friendly eats and activities, was just spectacular. As visions of the WOW Summit still dance in our head, we are left with only one question—how will we top it next year?

Day one was all about the mom bloggers. The event kicked off in the early afternoon with a warm Moms Meet welcome from our host and emcee, Karissa Barber, and Chief Mom Ambassador, Annie Douglass. Blogger workshops, presented by successful bloggers and industry experts such as Dan R. Morris and Rachel Martin of bloggingconcentrated.com, followed. During the three sessions of workshops, bloggers were able to choose from an impressive list of topics designed to educate and empower in different areas of the blogosphere. The feedback we received from our bloggers, including both seasoned and new bloggers, was phenomenal. Many gushed about the insights they gained from our savvy speakers.

Once our blogger sessions wrapped up, our moms reconvened for the Blogger/Brand Speed Networking session where each blogger had a chance to pitch themselves and their blog to our sponsors. Many found this to be an invaluable way to make connections in the industry and grow their personal brand.

The night was capped off with a lively gathering for Comedy & Cocktails, an event where bloggers and brands could mingle, unwind, and LOL at the hilarious comedy from our talented comedian, Julia Scotti, of America’s Got Talent fame.

On day two, our moms came out in full force starting early Saturday morning. It was so amazing to see all the moms explore the prestigious brands in attendance at our exhibitor hall. It was the perfect opportunity for companies to hear from real moms, and for moms to learn about better-for-you products to bring home to their families.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Drew Ramsey, M.D. nutritional expert and author of Eat Complete, 50 Shades of Kale, and The Happiness Diet, captivated the crowd with his insights on how to improve mental health through diet. Next up were the general sessions that touched on topics from empowering our moms to fostering independence in our children. The educational workshops from National Geographic Kids, Solgar, Mary’s Gone Crackers, Nordic Naturals, and Garden of Life offered our attendees real solutions on how to raise healthier and happier families.

Fun events like the fashion show, social photo contest, raffle prizes, and a late-night scavenger hunt were scattered throughout the Summit to keep the good times rolling! And the best payoff of all, on top of the education, community cultivation, and $1,000+ raffle prizes, were the out-of-this-world swag bags gifted to each mom filled with over $250 worth of natural, organic, eco and educational products!

All in all, WOW Summit ‘16 was a smashing success. We’d like to give a huge thank you to all of the staff, organizers, and sponsors who made the Summit truly extraordinary. And of course, a special thank you goes out to all of our moms who took time out of their busy lives to experience this year’s WOW Summit. Your strength and commitment to your families and better-for-you products is truly inspiring.

We look forward to sharing this communal experience with our health-minded moms and brands at next year’s WOW Summit℠! Stay tuned for an announcement on next year’s location in the upcoming months.
