It’s easy to feel powerless in the face of climate change. With the constant bombardment of information it can be hard to know what the right actions are to take. In this episode, hear from the executive director of Project Drawdown, Dr. Jonathan Foley, about the many ways carbon drawdown is being used to fight the climate crisis. We’re digging into what that means, ways we as parents can help, everyday scientific solutions, and more.

Our Guest

Dr. Jonathan Foley the Executive Director of Project Drawdown and a world-renowned environmental scientist, sustainability expert, author, and public speaker. His work is focused on understanding our changing planet, and finding new solutions to sustain the climate, ecosystems, and natural resources we all depend on.

Founded in 2014, Project Drawdown is a nonprofit organization that seeks to help the world reach “drawdown”—the future point in time when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline. They continue to develop resources by conducting rigorous reviews and assessments of climate solutions, creating compelling and human communications across media, and partnering with efforts to accelerate climate solutions globally.

Cities, universities, corporations, philanthropies, policymakers, communities, educators, activists, and more turn to Project Drawdown as they look to advance effective climate action. They aim to support the growing constellation of efforts to move climate solutions—and the world—toward drawdown as quickly, safely, and equitably as possible.
