With the new year just days away, so many of us are setting big goals for our health, family, finances, and beyond. But how do we actually keep these goals alive past the first few weeks? We tapped New York Times bestselling author BJ Fogg, PhD and Behavior Design Expert Stephanie Weldy to teach us how tiny habits can lead to big and lasting changes.

Additional Resources

BJ and Stephanie shared some great tips through their song series on how to help your kids create good habits. Here are a few additional affirmations you can use with your kids throughout your daily routines.

After I get out of bath or shower, I will look in mirror and say “Awesome body– I respect my body, and every body.”

After I am feeling wound up, I will turn on some fun song and dance.

After I see trash on the floor/desk, I will pick it up and put it in the closest trash can.

After I see clean clothes laying around, I will fold or hang one item.

After I open my lunchbox, I will look for the most colorful fruit/veg and take a bite of it first.

After I remember I have to do homework, I will get out my assignments and put it on my desk.
