I think a “step” grand daughter has a learning disability (stayed back last year) but they have moved her up to 4th grade this year. I work with her but she needs professional help but mom is blind to it and wont admit that she needs help. I am worried these issues will not get addressed!!!!!
Early intervention makes a big difference, and there are so many coping strategies that she can learn. Do you have any access to her teacher, who could provide help for getting an assessment. Check online for learning disability helpline.
Having a plan of action at home will help as they will need extra help and tools to combat dyslexia.
