While you stay at home caring for your family is there anything that you do to help contribute financially?

I am going back to school while caring for my family, but would love to help financially.

One thing I have done for some extra income to help my family, has been babysitting, especially during the summer, when the older kids are off of school. It has been good because my 9 year-old son then has someone to play with besides my 1 year-old son.

Definitely use the apps: Checkout51, IBOTTA and receipt hog. The last one just requires you to scan your receipts!

If you are crafty, making some crafts to sale could be an option. I coupon so I love saving my family money that way, also I do survey sites knee in awhile some of which I have tested products and earned small gift cards but I have also done 3 to 5 day studies/discussion boards that I have earned money from. The saves apps mentioned above are great too because you will be shopping anyways and earning money back on that is great even just to save for Christmas or specials for the family.

You can do surveys online and earn giftcards or money. I do surveys on my phone through a company named Vindale research. I’ve only been doing it for a couple of months, whenever I have free time and I’ve made $85. I also do surveys on a site called One Opinion and have made $60. There’s several different survey companies out there that offer different things like I said giftcards, money and even free products like Momsmeet does 😊

Hi! To make extra money as a stay at home mom, I started doing online surveys, but they don’t pay much. It will pay for a daily Starbucks though! I also feel that my hard work budgeting and meal planning helps us save money (a penny saved is a penny earned). Eventually I plan to complete my tutor.com application to start tutoring kids online. It pays decent and you get to work from home. If you have a degree, you should qualify if you get good scores on their tests. If you want more info on how to afford being a stay at home mom, there’s some.great info here: https://thekidsandme.com/category/homemaking/
There’s budgeting, debt management, and meal planning tips.

Is tutor.com a legit company. I want to know before I apply. Is anyone working for it and how flexible is it? I bake for extra money, homeschool and have a degree.

Hey Victoria, and all these other Mamas!!

I can totally relate to you! I am a registered nurse but recently decided to take some time off to be home with my 2 babies! We took in a 4 day old baby boy last year while I was 7 months pregnant with my baby girl. They are both one years old now. So needless to say I am busy at home with them but our finances took a hit this past year!

I recently found a company called LimeLife by Alcone. I began selling this all natural skin care line free of harsh chemicals and professional level makeup!

This line is amazing and it is providing so much for my family. Not just financially, though the paycheck is what I was originally looking for!

The group of women I work with are amazing and my confidence has grown so much!

Please PLEASE email me or find me on fb messenger and ask me about it! I would love to have more great Mamas join me on this journey of helping our families ( and have fun doing it too) !!!

I was doing a bit of saving with using ibotta, checkout 51 and a few others but it was very time consuming and if I didn’t take care of entering in the receipts right away they would start pilling up. I do sell items on Facebook market place like toys & clothes my kids grew out of and that has helped.

  • #119029

    great tips

There are so many flexible options out there! I have a network marketing side gig, which I love because it basically pays me to eat and share about the products and help others. There are lots of great companies and products to choose from.
You could also teach with VIPKid if you have a bachelors degree. Babysitting, tutoring, etc are good options as well.

    • #120449

@kchowy What is your marketing side job?

    • #120569

I use Isagenix products and get paid for referring others to them. I am using the products anyway, so it’s a nice bonus to get paid for sharing them. There are some great companies out there, so it’s important to pick a product/company that you feel passionate about.
