My baby just turned 1 and had an allergy with formula milk since she’s a breastfed baby. I tried giving formula coz i was planning to stop breastfeeding her. I’m thinking if i give cow’s milk it might have reactions to her again. If somebody can help me with this issue.thanks!☺️

I’m lactose intolerant, my body doesn’t have enough (or possibly none at all) of the enzyme our bodies use to process and break down lactose; not really a true allergy (allergies cause rashes and swelling especially to the mouth and throat.) Let me say that lactose intolerance is not fun, it is a terrible experience, especially for poor babies, my heart goes out to you.
Anything with lactose will be an issue with lactose intolerance, avoid dairy for sure. Have you tried soy based formula? There are a lot more options available these days, especially with formula. There are also milk substitutes like almond milk, soy milk, cashew milk, etc.

I have tried giving my baby similac, enfamil, lactaid, soy milk and she had allergic reactions to those. I let her try the gerber extensuve HA but she doesn’t like the taste. Hopefully, she’s ok with almond milk. I dont know what else i can give to my baby. Thanks.

Your pediatrician is a good source of advice

Thank you. Her pediatrician already refer to an allergist and next week we’re going to have the blood test for food allergies. I hate that but we have to do it:(

My son is lactose intolerant. He didn’t develop it until he was 2 1/2 years old. If you have any concerns, I would bring it up with your pediatrician. Both my nephews havd had a lactose intolerance to milk since birth
