While we welcome Moms Meet members to meet other local moms, we do suggest the following guidelines and suggestions for personal safety:

    1. Be cautious about the information you give out. Never supply your last name, home address, phone number, place of work, or other identifying information in your profile or in your initial communications until you are comfortable to do so.

    2. Trust your feelings. As you correspond to a local mom, be on the lookout for strange behavior or inconsistencies. Ask questions until you are comfortable. Take your time to get to know each other.

    3. Talking by telephone can give you a better view of your potential friend’s personality, social skills, and character. We suggest calling from a pay phone or a phone with Caller ID blocking until there is absolute trust.

    4. Meet when YOU are ready. Consider meeting in a public place during the day. Consider bringing a friend or your partner with you. Make sure someone always knows where you are going and when you plan to return.

Moms Meet does not screen or performs background checks on an any of our members. Nor do we check the validity of legal name, gender, location, or other pieces of identification. Keep this in mind when meeting local moms, welcoming them to your home, introducing them to your family, or including them in your sampling groups. Meeting local moms is completely optional and you assume all personal risks in doing do.
