Slow-Cooked BBQ Beans

Slow-cooked bbq beans, the perfect side dish for your weekend grilling.⠀

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup True Made Foods KC Barbecue Sauce ⠀
  • 1/2 cup True Made Foods No Sugar Veggie ketchup ⠀
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard or 3 tablespoons of Bavarian mustard ⠀
  • 3 cans pinto beans(or black eye peas), drained and rinsed
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced1large onion, diced ⠀
  • 4 ounces cooked ham, diced⠀2 tablespoons garlic powder ⠀
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika  
  • jalapeño chopped finely (add 2-3 jalapeños if you like it extra spicy) ⠀
  • salt and pepper for taste ⠀⠀

Directions

  1. Mix barbeque sauce, ketchup, and other ingredients in a heavy bottom pot.
  2. Stir beans, green bell pepper, onion, and ham into barbeque sauce mixture.⠀
  3. Cook beans on Low for 4 to 6 hours until thick.⠀
  4. Top with raw onions, shredded cheese, or sour cream. Enjoy! ⠀
